Several Kentucky Power employees got together on a very chilly first day of November to volunteer at Facing Hunger Food Bank’s mobile pantry in Greenup. Local residents were lined up hours ahead of start time for the event, which took place at the Greenup County Fairgrounds.

Big Sandy Power Plant recently received a much-needed upgrade. The original switchgear, which had successfully served the plant for all of its 60 years, was recently replaced. This significant capital upgrade project is an improvement not only for reliability, but also safety. 

At the Kentucky Association for Economic Development’s (KAED) Kentucky Economic Forum held this week at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, a Kentucky Power employee was named a 2023 Allied Professional of the Year.
